Topps Cards

Topps Cards and associated brand partners wanted to showcase their collectable children’s products and drive awareness of their great products to a new growing customer base. Previously Topps had already delivered many events for its existing customer base at Soccer venues for Match Attax cards, but now wanted to reach out into other areas to develop their market further.

The client was looking for a budget conscious solution that allowed for rapid overnight deployment but still provided a creative colourful branded backdrop and platform to create a sense of theatre for the visitors attending the event locations.

Through our initial creative development we put together a solution that could be deployed on a whistle stop tour of the country visiting high end shopping centre venues. The modular truss event system utilised the available event space at each venue perfectly; scaling up for the large to shopping centres and reducing down in size where space was a real premium.

The modular stand solution was toured and managed by our delivery team and set up and taken down every night – meaning detailed and effective planning, health & safety and centre management liaison were imperative for the tour to be executed flawlessly often on very tight deadlines.

Premier league star signings and characters from Star Wars and the Skylanders Swapforce games were just some of the ‘on stage’ attractions at the events which visited Metro Centre Newcastle, Merry Hill Birmingham, Arndale Centre Manchester, Westfield Stratford and Shepherds Bush London.
